The existing skylight was a key architectural feature originally designed by Lomax. It was upgraded with high-performance UV glazing and an automated remote section that opens to the sky and is accessed by the illuminated EeStairs aluminum and glass staircase - a stairway to the stars. This transformation involved the installation of slimmer window frames and high-performance glazing, as well as the automation of the central axis skylight, flooding the interior with daylight and providing access to the rooftop observation platform. Modifications were made to enhance the home's design, including exposing the steel framework and installing a striking architectural aluminum and glass-illuminated staircase. Throughout the multi-year renovation, every aspect of the residence was meticulously modernized whilepreserving Lomax's minimalist vision. The result is a revitalized Beach House that pays homage to its architectural heritage while embracing contemporary design principles. Despite the extensive changes, the essence of Lomax's original vision remains intact, making it a fitting tribute to his legacy
